Fitted Into His Plan

When Storms Rage

Whether it was the prevailing superstition surrounding the traditional life of the people or a monstrous challenge to my faith, I couldn’t place it. Somehow, I began to suspect that with
the driving rain, coupled with the violent wind, something ominous was afoot. I didn’t know what to expect.
So when a nearby telecommunication mast suddenly came crashing down with a whopping sound and the building of my residence shook to its foundation, I almost jumped out of my skin. My mind ran wild. I thought it was one of the horrific hurricanes I had watched on CNN.

Description

One can hardly write a book without the input of others, either directly or indirectly. I could recall that “Fitted into His plan” was first preached several years ago when I was pastor atBonny Island. Then it was published online by my friend and brother, Pastor Femi Bakare. Although I didn’t think of it
coming out as a book initially, the book idea began to build up over the years as I thought of churning out something that could encourage and give people the blueprint on how to navigate through the hurdles of life.

Consequently, I will like to acknowledge Pastor Femi Bakare for being the first to give it (then an article) a public push through his website. I will forever be grateful to my wife, friend and confidant, Dr. (Mrs) Chinma Daokoru-Olukole, who encourages me every inch of the way. Thank you, honey! My appreciation goes to my mum, Pastor (Mrs) Nancy Kesiye Egop (nee Ofongo), who painstakingly gave counsel and took steps for the printing and packaging of this book. Your best is yet to come. God bless you, mum. Thank you Rev. David
Abidoye on your oversight on the book cover design; indeed our relationship is divine.

I won’t forget Israel Adirimo, a volunteer staff of the church. Many times I interrupted his schedule just to share with him some propping thoughts about the book and he’ll never frown. You have worked with me more than just a volunteer staff, I must say, and your time of reward is now. To my younger brother, Pastor Uche-Awaji Egop, I say thank you for those final thoughts you gave. To my Senior Pastor, Rev. Simeon Afolabi, Sir, you are one of
the key reasons I can do what I do. May God increase you more and more!

I am grateful to the Managing Editor, International Christian Book Network (ICBN), Mr. John Oseh whose oversight on this book brought it to an enviable status. Your editorial work goes beyond mere vocation, like you’ve always said. Indeed yours is a calling. Thank you, Sir. And to all those who have offered help directly or indirectly to
see this book come to fruition, I am grateful! May the Lord reward your labor of love. You are special.
God bless you all!
